Government documents are materials published by the federal government
at government expense. They include Congressional hearings, departmental
publications, maps, periodicals, labor statistics, the U.S. Census
information, and much more. This library receives about 10% of all federal
documents published.
Most documents in print are available on the Upper Level. Documents on CD and DVD-ROM are located in the Government Documents multimedia cabinet. Please consult a librarian at the Reference Desk for assistance. Many documents
are available through the World Wide Web. To find online government information, try searching

AGRIS
Indexes the worldwide literature
in agricultural science and technology from 1975 to the present. Produced
by the United Nations Food and Agricultural Organization, AGRIS covers
journal articles, books, conference papers, unpublished reports, theses,
and government publications.

Hazardous Substances Data Bank
HSDB is a toxicology data file on the National Library of Medicine's (NLM) Toxicology Data Network (TOXNET®). It focuses on the toxicology of potentially hazardous chemicals. It is enhanced with information on human exposure, industrial hygiene, and emergency handling procedures, environmental fate, regulatory requirements, and related areas. All data are referenced and derived from a core set of books, government documents, technical reports, and selected primary journal literature. HSDB is peer-reviewed by the Scientific Review Panel (SRP), a committee of experts in the major subject areas within the data bank's scope. HSDB is organized into individual chemical records, and contains over 4800 such records.

The Library has an excellent collection of maps and atlases available at the following

Reference Collection: Atlases are available
on the shelves of the Reference Collection and on the nearby atlas stand.
Duplicate, circulating copies of some of these atlases may also be found
in the General and Hawaiian Collections. There are also a few globes that
grace the Reference area.
Hawaiian Collection: Detailed US Geological
Survey Maps of each island are found here, as are older Territorial Survey
Maps of Hawai'i Island. These maps are non-circulating. The Library also
provides online access to the historical Digital
Sanborn Maps for the state of Hawai'i, going back to 1914 for some
locales.
