students studying together in a Group Study Room

Group study rooms may be reserved by UH faculty, staff, students, and distance learners. Rooms can accommodate up to 6 people. Reserve a room at the Circulation Desk. A current UHH / HawCC ID card is required. 

Study Room Reservation Policies:

  1. Reservations will be accepted for use by as few as 1 student until 4pm, 2 or more students after 4pm.
  2. There is a limit of one reservation per person per day.
  3. If a room has not been reserved, individuals may use study rooms on a first come, first served basis.
  4. The person making the reservation must present a valid UHH / HawCC ID when picking up the key. The key should be returned promptly after use.
  5. Reservations can be made for 2 hour periods. A room reservation can be renewed once for an additional 2 hours if there are no prior reservations or requests for a room.
  6. Reservations may be made up to one week in advance
  7. A reservation will be honored for 10 minutes past the time requested. When a requestor fails to pick up the key on time, the room becomes available on a first come, first served basis.
  8. For every fifteen (15) minutes that room keys are overdue to the Circulation Desk, a $1.00 overdue fine will be imposed.
  9. The rooms may not be used for tutoring of non-UH students.
  10. Users of the rooms must adhere to all library policies, especially those relating to noise and food / drinks.
