Mookini Library is designed for easy access with an automated
door at the entrance and elevators to the building's three floors. You
may browse the floor maps for the designated
accessible service areas. The library provides a
wide variety of resources and services which we hope you will find useful,
such as:
- Accessible service counters at the Circulation, Reference,
and Hawaiian Collection Desks.
- An accessible PC in the Reference Area loaded with
Jaws and Zoomtext. Headphones are provided and the
table is adjustable. The station is part of the UH Voyager network which
requires a login and password. It is also part of the Librarys
print network, so there is a fee for printing. Library
staff can assist users with logging in, loading the program(s), and
using the print network. It is understood that anyone using the station
will have received prior training elsewhere. Those affiliated with UHH should call the University Disability
Services at 933-0816 for assistive technical training. HawCC affiliates should call 974-7741.
- A video magnifier (Optelec) on an adjustable table.
- An accessible photocopier.
- An accessible, text only library web site which is
compliant with ADA standards.
- A telephone with TTY capabilities for making and receiving
on campus calls.
- Telephone reference assistance at 974-7346 (voice)
or 933-3335 (TTY).

(see maps).
- A wheelchair accessible study table on the Upper Level.
